Product

What material do you use?

We only use the best materials in our ceramics. Our team works hard to follow sustainable practices & source materials that are non-toxic and eco-friendly.

Clay

We use high fire clays (porcelain and stoneware) sourced from Pittsburgh Pennsylvania. 

Glaze

is a mixture of different powdered non toxic minerals that when melted and cooled properly, form into a thin layer of glass on the surface of the piece making them impervious to water, and food safe! We make all of our own glazes in house so that we can both ensure the safety of them (making sure there are no heavy metals of lead in the ingredients), and so that we can achieve the beautiful semi matte, soft smooth surface that our customers have come to love.

Fire

While it’s not technically a material, we consider it to be one of the most important ingredients in our pieces. Each of our plates, bowls, and mugs is fired in our big gas kiln up to 2320 degrees. It is possible (and honestly easier) to ‘fire’ ceramics in electric kilns to a slightly lower temperature, but we choose to do things the hard way. Using this process provides two crucial aspects to our final pieces. One, is that by bringing the pieces to a higher temperature, our pieces end up being just a little bit stronger and more durable (which is really important, especially when working with restaurants). The other is that the firing process in the gas kiln creates some really incredible variation in the surface of the glaze

Are your ceramics dishwasher/ microwave safe?

Yes! All of our ceramics are both microwave and dishwasher safe. We’ve developed our products to withstand the most rigorous of kitchen environments- If they can take the beating from clumsy bus waiters, and high temp industrial dishwashers, they can handle your home kitchen.

Do I have to worry about lead or other harmful ingredients in your ceramics?

Never! All our ceramics are made using non-toxic food safe ingredients. 

Our glazes are 100% lead free. We take precautionary measures through each step of the process to make sure of this. We're committed to only using the safest materials and environmentally conscious practices!

Can I order a Gift Card?

Yes! You can get yours here..

We are only offering digital gift cards at this time.

Orders, Shipping + Returns

If I place two orders, will they both ship at the same time?

No. They'll ship at different times.

Orders are processed, made, and shipped, in the order they are received. This keeps our production process moving circular aka nice and smooth!

What is your return policy?

We cannot accept returns on orders from our 2nds & Overstock sales or gift cards.  

For all other orders we’ll accept returns within 30-days of the original purchase as long as the items are unused. Send us an email to hello@connormcginnstudios.com for further assistance.

How long will it take to receive my order?
  • In Stock Items: Ship within 1-2 business days.
  • Back-Ordered Items: Ship within 2 weeks (we glaze and fire these to order).

🚨 Heads up: If you order both in-stock and back-ordered items, your entire order will ship together. If you’d like your in-stock items sooner, place two separate orders!

I’m local, can I pick up my order at your studio?

Yes. We offer free pickup at our studio at 84 Central Ave, Tarrytown, NY, Monday–Friday from 10 AM–6 PM. Select “Local Pickup” at checkout. Once your order is ready—usually within 24–48 hours—you’ll get an email to schedule your pickup time.

Do you ship internationally?

Unfortunately, we are unable to ship internationally at this time. We hope to in the future! Do you have any suggestions of where we should ship next? Send us an email to hello@connormcginnstudios.com

My product arrived damaged, now what?

We work really hard to pack our products so that they arrive safely to you but sometimes accidents happen during the shipping process. 

Please send us an email to hello@connormcginnstudios.com with the following information: 

  1. Your order # 
  2. Name 
  3. 4-5 photos of the damaged goods and packaging it was sent in

Please hold onto the damaged item and the packaging until we have processed the return

Someone on our team will send you a confirmation with follow up instructions within 48 hours & get a new order out to you right away! 

Hospitality

Can you make custom pieces for my restaurant or hotel?

Yes!

Yes. We partner with chefs and hospitality teams to create pieces that fit their vision and service style. Fill out our Hospitality Intake Form to get started.

What’s the current lead time for hospitality industry orders?

This depends largely on the size and complexity of the order, but generally sometime between 2-8 weeks

Registry

How can I add your ceramics to my wedding registry?

Congrats!!!

We offer two ways to create your registry:

  1. Online: Begin crafting your registry by visiting our registry page. Follow the steps to set up your account, and start adding items to your wishlist. You'll receive a custom URL to share your registry with ease and have full control to manage it at your convenience.
  2. In-Person or Virtual Option: Schedule a personalized registry-building session with Connor, either in person or virtually by sending us an email (hello@connormcginnstudios.com). Together, you'll create a tailored registry experience based on your preferences.

Whether you choose to create online or with personalized assistance, you'll have the flexibility to self-manage your registry when logged into your account.

Your order will be prepared with care the week of your event, ready for pickup or shipping.

Can I build my registry in person?

Yes! You can schedule a personalized registry-building session with Connor, either in person or virtually by sending us an email (hello@connormcginnstudios.com). Together, you'll create a tailored registry experience based on your preferences.

Please create an account + build a wishlist prior to your meeting.

How do I share my gift registry with friends and family?

After you set up your registry you will have a custom link to share with family and friends!

Alternatively, they can search for your registry on our website here .

They'll have the option to leave gift notes as well.

When will my registry items be ready?

We will make your order the week of your event date then send you an email when it is ready to ship/or for pickup!

Can I track the gifts I've received through my gift registry?

Yes! You'll have access to your account where you can track items purchased from your registry along with your gift notes.

You'll also receive an email when a purchase is made from your registry.

Is there a deadline for guests to make purchases from my gift registry?

Your registry will close 1 month after your event date.
